MOSCOW, Nov 4. In a year, a satellite developed by Stavropol scientists may fly into space, said the governor of the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirov.
On Saturday, Vladimirov took part in the opening of the International Exhibition and Forum «Russia» at VDNKh in Moscow.
“Today our company Stilsoft is developing a satellite and we hope that we will produce up to forty satellites a year in the future,” said the governor of the Stavropol Territory.
He added that in the field of high technology, the Stavropol region has also become the largest region in Russia for the production of “green” energy.
““Thanks to wind and solar generation, we generate almost 1 gigawatt of electricity,” Vladimirov specified.
All regions of Russia, as well as various ministries and corporations, present their achievements at the International Exhibition and Forum «Russia». In total, visitors will be able to view 131 exhibitions.
