“A resident of Ryazan, born in 1979, was detained on suspicion of involvement in the commission of this crime,” the department added. Other details about the identity of the detainee or his status are still unknown.
Later, the Investigative Committee clarified that, according to the detainee, “the crime was committed on the basis of personal hostility towards the victim and is not related to the latter’s official activities.” The investigation plans to petition for the selection of a preventive measure in the form of detention for the Ryazan resident.
