MOSCOW, November 5The China International Import Expo (CIIE) began its work on Sunday in Shanghai, where 66 Russian companies are presenting their products with the support of the Russian Export Center (VEB.RF) as part of a large-scale national exposition under the Made in Russia brand, reports REC on Telegram channel.
«In honor of the opening of CIIE, Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a letter to the exhibition participants, in which he emphasized its importance for the development of cooperation and trade relations between China and other countries. The Made in Russia exhibition was visited by First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vasily Osmakov and a trade representative Alexey Dakhnovsky of Russia in China,” the message says.
It is added that the Russian exposition in 2023 will be twice as large as in the previous year. Its area reaches 1.7 thousand square meters, and it is located in 6 pavilions: “Food and Agricultural Products”, “Consumer Goods — Souvenirs”, “Consumer Goods — Cosmetics and Household Chemicals”, “Medicine and Healthcare”, “ Technologies and IT» and «Services».
The number of exhibitors also doubled. In particular, Russian agribusiness companies present confectionery and chocolate, butter, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks of famous brands and other food products to their Chinese partners. Guests of the exhibition can also appreciate Russian cosmetics, dietary supplements, medical products and household chemicals, as well as souvenirs made of wood, amber and mammoth ivory and much more.
Also at the Made in Russia stand are domestic high-tech solutions for industry, software and services of logistics companies and tour operators.
CIIE runs until November 10. In addition to product presentations and b2b negotiations, the rich program for participants of the Made in Russia exposition includes practice-oriented events with the participation of business circles and Chinese authorities.
The Russian Export Center has supported the participation of domestic companies in the China International Import Expo since its foundation in 2018.
