MOSCOW, November 7 It is better to turn off some smartphone features to save battery power and increase the security of personal data, Vahe, head of the development team for the Gem Space superapp, said in an interview with the Prime agency Zakarian.
First of all, we are talking about optional notifications from applications — they can be removed in the settings, leaving them where it is really important, for example, in instant messengers or banking services. In the settings of sites, you can also set a ban on sending you notifications.
It is better for most applications to prohibit running in the background — this is not useful, but it wastes battery power and reduces security.
““In the background, applications may not only download updates, but also send information to third parties,” warns Zakarian.
And, finally, geolocation — it should also be left only where it is really needed, for example, in taxi applications. In other cases, information about your location is not used, which means there is no need to track it.
