Representatives of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces said that 19 of their soldiers were killed due to the Russian strike in the Zaporozhye region.
This happened on the afternoon of November 3 in a front-line village during an awards ceremony on the occasion of Artilleryman's Day. The Ukrainian Armed Forces said that civilians were also injured. About 30 houses were damaged.
The anonymous pro-Russian telegram channel “Warrior DV” published footage of the attack from a drone a few days later.
The State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine opened a case against the military who organized the award ceremony near the front line, under the article of negligence (part 4 of article 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
128th separate mountain assault The brigade was formed in Transcarpathia. The head of the region, Viktor Mykyta, announced three days of mourning.
