MOSCOW, Nov 8. Various debugging options are being studied gas transportation infrastructure to help supply the northern regions of Kazakhstan with gas, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with the Kazakhstanskaya Pravda newspaper, the text of which was published on the Kremlin website.
“»As for Kazakhstan, Russia is ready to help in the gasification of its northern and eastern regions in accordance with the road map for cooperation in the gas sector signed on January 18 of this year by Gazprom and the government of Kazakhstan. Currently, various options for debugging the relevant gas transportation infrastructure,» he said.
In January 2023, Gazprom and the government of Kazakhstan signed a bilateral roadmap for cooperation in the gas industry. In June, Gazprom and JSC NK QazaqGaz signed an agreement on the transportation of Russian gas through Kazakhstan for consumers in Uzbekistan. Deliveries began in October. They are organized in reverse mode along a specially designated route based on the Central Asia — Center gas pipeline system.
On November 1, Gazprom announced that the chairman of the company's board, Alexey Miller, and the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Roman Sklyar, signed an agreement on strategic cooperation. The document is aimed at developing cooperation in the field of supply, transportation and processing of natural gas, as well as its geological exploration and production.
