WASHINGTON, Nov 9 US President Joe Biden plans an impressive series of meetings at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in San Francisco, said White House strategic communications coordinator John Kirby.
«We are planning an impressive set of meetings for the president in San Francisco,» he told reporters at a briefing.
Kirby declined to comment on the possibility that Biden would have to cancel his trip to the APEC summit due to a new threat of a government shutdown starting November 17 due to lack of funding, saying he would not speculate on the matter.
APEC is an international association aimed at promoting the development of trade and investment between the economies of its member countries. It includes 20 states, including Russia, the USA and China, as well as Hong Kong, which, although it is part of the PRC, stands out as a separate member of the association, increasing the number of members to 21.
