MOSCOW, November 8. The Ladoga company, a major importer of alcohol in Russia, has never owned the Fruko Schulz plant in the Czech Republic, and therefore does not sell it maybe they told us in the importer’s press service.
Earlier on Wednesday, the CTK agency, citing the director of the plant and the owner of 10% of its shares, Josef Nejedly, reported that the Russian company Ladoga, due to the loss of contracts caused by the conflict in Ukraine, will sell its Czech plant Fruko Schulz in the city of Jindrichuv Hradec by the end of this year (on south of the country), in which it owns 90% of the shares.
“The company does not own anything in the Czech Republic, Ladoga is not the owner of the Fruko Schulz plant and, accordingly, cannot sell anything there. The Czech company is a long-time and reliable partner of the Ladoga company — a supplier of liqueurs under the Fruko Schulz brand. We know Josef Nejedly as the director of the company, but in no way “We cannot comment on his words,” they said.
At the same time, the company plans to import 600 thousand liters of products under the Fruko Schulz brand by the end of the year.
The Fruko-Schulz plant produced 3.18 million liters of spirits in 2022, down 9% from the year before. Almost 27% of this volume was exported. The main consumers of the Czech company's products are Russia, which accounted for 64.6% of exports, followed by Slovakia, China, Bulgaria and Taiwan. In total, the company exported alcohol to 31 countries in 2022.
