The maximum speed of the new product from the British brand, owned by the Bavarian company BMW, is 250 km/h. The price of the “charged” crossover is already known.
Mini introduced the new generation Cooper and Countryman at the beginning of this fall: then it became known that the cars had lost their chrome decor, the usual instrument panel and received a cloth interior. Now the British brand has presented a “charged” version of the new SUV – Mini Countryman John Cooper Works.

The Mini Countryman JCW differs from a “regular” crossover due to a revised radiator grille made of glossy black plastic with a “checkerboard” pattern, as well as proprietary John Cooper Works LED headlight graphics. This version also has a differently designed front bumper, and the side air intakes are decorated in the form of red vertical stripes.
The model also features the bright JCW color on the roof, exterior mirror housings and brake calipers. The rear of the new “warmed-up” Mini Countryman looks different due to different lights, as well as a rear bumper with a centrally located diffuser and round black exhaust pipes (two on each side). The basic ones are 19-inch original wheels, and 20-inch wheels are available for an additional fee.
The dimensions of the new product are the same as those of the “regular” third-generation Countryman. This means that the length is 4433 mm, the width is 1843 mm, the height is 1656 mm, and the distance between the axles is 2692 mm. The aerodynamic drag coefficient of the version with the John Cooper Works increase is 0.26.
The interior of the new Mini Countryman JCW is distinguished by a new signature steering wheel and black sports seats with contrast stitching. In addition, the front panel is trimmed with black fabric with red vertical strokes. In the center is the new round touchscreen of the Mini 9 infotainment system (the screen is the same as the “regular” crossover).
The new Mini Countryman John Cooper Works is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine, the power of which in the version for the American market is 312 hp; the “old world” version has 300 hp. The maximum torque (for versions for all markets) is 400 Nm. Only an eight-speed automatic is offered in pairing. This SUV needs 5.4 seconds to accelerate from zero to “hundreds”, and its maximum speed is 250 km/h.

Mini Countryman JCW will be produced established at the plant of the Bavarian company in Leipzig ( Germany), it will roll off the assembly line along with other modifications of the Countryman and BMW X2. In the USA, the cost of the new “charged” crossover starts at $46,900, the cars will reach dealers in May 2024.
Recall that it was previously known that the Mini Clubman will not have a new generation due to modest demand. It is assumed that the space that will be vacated after the departure of the station wagon will be filled by the current Countryman and the upcoming compact crossover Aceman.
