MOSCOW, November 9. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei On November 16, Lavrov will hold talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, the parties will discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
«On November 16, negotiations between the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela will take place. The heads of foreign affairs agencies will discuss ways to strengthen multifaceted cooperation and strategic partnership between Russia and Venezuela on a long-term basis,” Zakharova said at the briefing.
She added that the ministers will discuss further steps to expand ties in the trade, economic, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as building cooperation that is resistant to sanctions pressure.
According to her, the agenda of the meeting includes discussion of current problems of a global and regional nature, interaction at the UN.
«Russia and Venezuela stand for the formation of a new, more a just world order, respect by all states for the norms of international law, in particular the principles of protecting national sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs,” Zakharova emphasized.
