Gazprom commented on Russian gas supplies to Europe

MOSCOW, November 11. European countries that have declared a refusal from Russian gas continue to receive it, Gazprom head Alexey Miller told Russia 1 TV channel correspondent Pavel Zarubin.
““I would not like to give any figure, because the molecules in the main gas pipeline do not have a national coloring,” he said in response to a question about the percentage of Russian gas Europe receives.
Miller emphasized that exchange swap transactions quite common.

“The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin recently gave the example of a hub in Austria, Baumgarten. We currently supply gas to Baumgarten, this is a very large European hub from which gas flows to other countries of the European Union,” Miller added.

According to him, the ability to supply blue fuel to this hub allows transit through the territory of Ukraine — in particular, through the Russian Sudzha compressor station.< br />
Miller noted that gas supplies to Southern and South-Eastern Europe take place under signed contracts.
«Therefore, of course, Russian gas is on the European market, not in small volumes — I emphasize again, even in those countries that declare that they, in their country market, do not have Russian gas. No, this is not so,” he said.

Many European countries in 2022 lost — partially or completely — gas from Gazprom. In the spring, it reduced or stopped deliveries to Bulgaria, Poland, Finland, the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark, mainly citing failure to comply with a presidential decree on payment in rubles or other technical reasons. By the fall, supplies along the main route, Nord Stream, had ceased. Pumping along the balancing Belarusian route «Yamal — Europe» also stopped, and along the Ukrainian route it significantly decreased.

As a result, Russian pipeline gas is now supplied to Europe through one of the two entry points into the gas transportation system of Ukraine and through Turkey , where it comes via the Turkish Stream.
