ABU DHABI, November 12 Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation — Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov held a working meeting with the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies of the UAE Sultan bin Ahmed Al -Jaber, during which the parties discussed cooperation in the automotive industry, pharmaceuticals, as well as issues of standardization of equipment for the oil and gas industry, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister told reporters.
“»The automotive industry has become a traditional topic, and here we already have a project on Aurus with the Tawazun company. We will continue to deepen this cooperation… The assembly of Aurus is starting,» he noted.
Earlier on Sunday, Manutrov told reporters that the assembly of luxury Aurus Senat sedans has begun at the production site in Abu Dhabi, and in the future it will also produce Aurus Komendant SUVs.
“»The second direction is pharmaceuticals, our companies have been exploring the Emirates market for some time now. They must, among other things, now prepare a regulatory framework for the recognition of standards at the level of regulators of the healthcare system of Russia and the Emirates, in order to then move into the field of production of finished dosage forms in the Emirates, and the production of substances,» the Deputy Prime Minister added.
Attention was also paid to issues of interaction in the field of standardization and certification of equipment for the oil and gas industry.
