MOSCOW, November 13 The Russian economy managed to convert external challenges into success and move on to growth; industrial production increased by 2.6%, computer production — by 47%, said Vladimir Gutenev, first vice-president of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia, president of the League for Assistance to Defense Enterprises.
“»We managed to convert external challenges into success and move on to growth. Industrial production over the seven months of this year increased by 2.6%, growth in July, compared to last year, amounted to 4.9%,” said Gutenev in an interview with the magazine «National Defense».
According to him, the industry has reached the level of early 2022. “This is an important indicator because before the CBO, from January to February, the industry was on a pretty good upswing,” he added.
He emphasized that this growth is largely ensured by the significantly increased state defense order, which is being fulfilled almost 100%.
«In addition, niches are gradually being filled after the departure of foreign companies from our market. A record growth of 47.2% shows the production of computers, electronic and optical products. The production of electrical equipment and medicines and materials used in medicine, increased by 19.9%,» Gutenev said.
