So far, only the updated electric minibus has been presented. The model with the basic battery will now travel less, while the version with the top battery, on the contrary, has an increased range.
In October, the Stellantis concern showed off updated commercial models of its brands in droves. But passenger modifications are presented separately. So, a week ago the restyled Peugeot Rifter minivan debuted, and now it’s the turn of the larger Peugeot Traveler. Like the younger model, the modernized minibus debuted in the form of an electric car with the prefix “e” in the name, because since last year the French brand has been selling exclusively “green” vans in most European countries (vans are also available with an internal combustion engine). However, in some places in the Old World there are still “traditional” cars, and later they will probably be updated in the same way as electric options.
It was — it became
If the e-Rifter, after restyling, in terms of design distanced itself from its utilitarian brother e-Partner, then the e-Traveller still looks like the e-Expert van. The minibus received a similar new front bumper and headlights, and instead of the imitation radiator grille located on top, there is now a full-fledged plug. Head optics — with diode sections of running lights, which should evoke associations with lion claws. There is also a new Peugeot emblem at the front, and at the rear there is now an inscription with the name of the brand. The refreshed e-Traveller is available in two lengths (4.98 or 5.33 m) and can accommodate up to 9 people.

Inside there is a new steering wheel and front panel, plus the instrumentation is now digital. In addition, the Peugeot e-Traveller has a different multimedia system with a 10-inch tablet that “floats”, while the pre-reform minibus has a more compact screen built into the panel. The central air deflectors had to be moved lower (in the pre-restyling model they are on the sides of the multimedia display). Peugeot also announced that there are more storage spaces in the cabin, and the quality of finishing materials has been improved. Finally, adaptive cruise control has been added to the list of equipment.

The only electric motor has the same characteristics: it produces 136 hp. and 260 Nm (installed on the front axle). At the same time, it was announced that the engine itself is new. The Peugeot e-Traveller is still available with two battery options – 50 or 75 kWh. The certified range of a minibus with a basic battery is 224 km according to the WLTP cycle — and this is 6 km less than what a pre-reform electric car can travel. But the range of the e-Traveller with a 75 kWh battery, on the contrary, has been increased: 350 instead of 330 km. The increase is explained, among other things, by the introduction of a new regenerative braking system.
Exact sales start date There is no restyled Peugeot e-Traveler yet, as well as prices. A pre-reform electric minibus in France, for example, now costs from 56,720 euros.
