DONETSK, November 15 A civilian was injured as a result of shelling of Gorlovka by Ukrainian troops, the mayor of the city Ivan Prikhodko reported on the Telegram channel.
“As a result of shelling of the village of Komarova (Nikitovsky district of Gorlovka) by the armed forces of Ukraine, a civilian Gorlovka resident was wounded,” the message says.
Earlier, the DPR representation at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired three cluster shells at Gorlovka at 16.25. In addition, Ukrainian troops fired four more 155mm shells into the same area at 16.50.
Gorlovka is located 50 kilometers north of Donetsk, the city is home to the Stirol chemical concern and coal mining enterprises. This is one of the largest populated areas of the DPR; before the start of the conflict in Donbass, the population of Gorlovka numbered more than 250 thousand people.
