In the second set, after losing a game on his serve, the Russian tennis player hit his knee with his racket six times, after which blood began to flow from the resulting wound. In the first match of the group stage, Rublev lost to compatriot Daniil Medvedev with a score of 4:6, 2:6. The red group also features German Alexander Zverev, who previously beat Alcaraz.
