MOSCOW, November 16. The Russian government has increased quotas for the export of mineral fertilizers valid from June 1 to November 30 by 2.2 million tons to more than 18.5 million tons, the corresponding resolution has been signed, the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
“Current quotas for the export of mineral fertilizers from Russia will increase by 2.2 million tons. A resolution on this has been signed. The total volume of the export quota will exceed 18.5 million tons,” the statement says. The decision will be valid until November 30.
“It (the decision — ed.) will allow producers of mineral fertilizers to export unclaimed remains of finished products, provided that the needs of the domestic market are fully met,” the Cabinet noted. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has been instructed to distribute the volumes among exporters. At the same time, quotas will not apply to the supply of fertilizers to Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
Mineral fertilizer producers voluntarily fixed price limits in 2021; since then they have been formed in accordance with FAS indexation recommendations and are now maintained at the 2022 level.
In addition, the government has established an export quota: from June 1 to November 30 it is 16.3 million tons, and this volume was proposed in October increase by 2.2 million. As of November 13, the current quota was 60%, the Ministry of Agriculture reported.
As for domestic purchases, from June to October, according to regional data, farmers purchased almost 4 million tons of fertilizers, which is 102% of the plan and higher than the level of the same period last year.
