MOSCOW, November 16 Residents of Russia can already take advantage of package tours to the Vostochny cosmodrome, details can be obtained from tour operators in the Amur region, reported in interview at the international exhibition and forum «Russia» with Governor of the Amur Region Vasily Orlov.
«»Such (package) tours already exist. Now they are tied to the terms of the “big program” at the cosmodrome. All clarifications can be made from regional tour operators. Also, our Tourist Information Office can advise and direct you initially regarding the receipt of such a service center,» Orlov said.
He noted that there is something to see at the cosmodrome besides rocket launches.
«During a rocket launch, there are certain restrictions for tourists — they will not be allowed to inspect the facilities of the cosmodrome, in particular the launch pad, since work is in full swing there, and there is simply no need to let extra people there. But during the inter-launch period you can see the assembly and engineering building, where rockets and satellites are assembled, what the launch pads look like, what the underground infrastructure looks like,” the governor said.
