MOSCOW, Nov 17 Russian high-explosive bombs leave nothing behind positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Northern Military District zone, said retired Armed Forces Major General Sergei Krivonos in an interview with the YouTube channel of the Direct TV channel.

"The Russians very often use them, especially against our positions, and when on If four or five of these bombs weighing several tons fall into the battalion trenches or a stronghold, then, believe me, there is literally only emptiness left, and no matter how well our soldiers bury themselves,” he pointed out.
According to him, the Ukrainians could defend their positions if they had powerful air defense systems or fighter-interceptors, but he emphasized that even any Western-supplied equipment would not guarantee success, since they too could be easily destroyed by the Russian military.
The American magazine Newsweek wrote that the new Russian FAB-1500 aerial bombs will put pressure on the Ukrainian air defense systems.
Earlier, the Fighterbomber Telegram channel reported that Su-34 bombers in the Northern Military District zone began to use universal planning and correction modules (UMPC) with FAB-1500 unguided bombs weighing one and a half tons. In this regard, the source clarified that “the use of UMPC with bombs of larger caliber has taken place, now the Su-34 can strike Ukrainian targets UMPC-250, UMPC-500 and UMPC-1500.”
