MOSCOW, Nov 16. No “Ukrainian” conditions for negotiations does not exist, Vladimir Zelensky will still beg for Russia to forgive him for what he did to the fraternal Ukrainian people, Vladimir Dzhabarov, first deputy head of the international committee of the Federation Council, said on Thursday.
Previously, Zelensky posted on social networks a recording of his communication with African media, where he stated that an end, not a freeze, of the conflict is necessary, and that he would like this to happen on Ukrainian terms.
“»His statement is complete nonsense, what are the conditions in Ukraine? He is starting to dream again, a dreamer,» the parliamentarian said.
The legislator emphasized that on Ukraine’s terms, “this means we must return to the borders of 1991, I’m not even seriously considering this conversation.”
According to Dzhabarov, Zelensky “will still beg for Russia to forgive him, but we will not forgive him for what he did to the fraternal people of Ukraine.”
Dzhabarov also believes that the special operation should end in a victory for Russia on the western borders of Ukraine. “Freezing” the conflict is simply postponing Ukraine’s aggression again. I always say that a special military operation must end on the western borders of Ukraine, there is no other option,” the politician concluded.
Moscow has previously repeatedly indicated that it is ready for negotiations, but Kyiv has introduced a ban on them at the legislative level. The West constantly calls on the Russian Federation for negotiations, for which Moscow shows readiness, but at the same time the West ignores Kyiv’s constant refusals to engage in dialogue. Earlier, the Kremlin stated that there are currently no prerequisites for the situation in Ukraine to transition to a peaceful direction; the absolute priority for Russia is to achieve the goals of the special operation; at the moment this is only possible through military means.
As stated in the Kremlin, the situation in Ukraine can move on to a peaceful course, provided that the de facto situation and new realities are taken into account; all Moscow’s demands are well known. Russian President Vladimir Putin said later that if Ukraine wants a negotiation process, then theatrical gestures are not needed, the decree prohibiting negotiations with Russia must be cancelled. According to him, Russia has never been against resolving the conflict in Ukraine through peaceful means, but subject to the security guarantees of the Russian Federation.
