LIPETSK, November 17. Over the past five years, the volume of produced and shipped products in the agro-industrial complex (AIC) of the Lipetsk region has increased by 76 and 87%, respectively, the total volume of production The agro-industrial complex is approaching a record 500 billion rubles, said the head of the region, Igor Artamonov.
He noted that wages in regional agriculture also increased by 168% during this period. Since 2019, the volume of investments in the region’s agro-industrial complex has exceeded 165 billion rubles. More than four thousand new jobs have been created.
According to Artamonov, investment projects worth more than 90 billion rubles are currently being implemented in the Lipetsk region. In the first half of 2023 alone, the growth of investment in agriculture exceeded 6%, and in processing – 8%. Today, investments in the agro-industrial complex account for 38% of all regional investments in fixed capital.
“New enterprises are being created, investments are growing — this leads to an increase in exports. We are not only among the top 15 regions ensuring the country’s food security, but also among 15 exporting regions. The forecast amount of exports of agricultural products in the region is approaching one billion dollars. Despite all the imposed sanctions and restrictions, our farmers ship products to 84 countries of the world,” the governor of the Lipetsk region emphasized.
He added that the achieved indicators indicate the high professionalism of Lipetsk farmers and should become an incentive for further development. The governor outlined the directions in which the Lipetsk agro-industrial complex will develop in the near future. This is selection in crop and livestock production, seed production, development of an agrocluster based on the Lipetsk special economic zone, creation of knowledge-intensive enterprises.
