Member of the Orekhovskaya organized crime group Sasha Soldat, convicted of murdering 22 people, was released

Member of the Orekhovskaya organized crime group, criminal authority Alexander Pustovalov, known as Sasha the Soldier, was released from the colony. RIA Novosti reports this.

Pustovalov served his sentence in a maximum security colony in the village of Monino, Tver Region; after his release, he will be under administrative supervision for three years. In 1999, the crime boss was arrested, and later the court sentenced him to 24 years in prison for the murder of 22 people.

As Podmoskovye Segodnya writes, journalists were not able to see the crime boss — the day before, correctional officers took him out of the colony so as “not to create unnecessary fuss.” Previously, Vesti also published a report that on November 18, a member of the Orekhovskaya organized crime group was to be released.

While in custody, Pustovalov twice asked for parole, but the court refused him this. According to security officials, the convict is involved in the murders of leaders and authorities of other organized crime groups, as well as police officers and prosecutors.
