MOSCOW, November 17. Ukraine should not make a tragedy out of the loss of new cities as a result of the offensive actions of the Russian Armed Forces, retired General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos said on the Pryamoy TV channel.
“»There is no need to make it out of this (the loss of populated areas. — Ed.) tragedy. There is no need to fall for the accusations of certain of our politicians. It is necessary to focus correctly and say: “Dear ones, if we want to survive as an independent state, let’s prepare the state,” the officer said.
According to him, The situation on several sectors of the front is difficult for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, since the Russians are building up military power and striking Ukrainian forces, in particular, near Kupyansk and Maryinka.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that in the Kupyansk direction there are units of the “Western” group troops professionally occupied more advantageous lines and positions, and repelled 24 enemy counterattacks.
