MAKHACHKALA, November 22. The number of riot participants at Makhachkala airport who challenged their arrest has grown to 44, 40 complaints have already been considered — and all were rejected, the head of the press reported -services of the Supreme Court of Dagestan Zarema Mamaev.
Mamaeva reported on November 17 that 27 riot participants appealed their arrest, the court considered 23 materials and left the preventive measure in force.
“»To the Supreme Court of Dagestan today on 44 appeals were received regarding the choice of a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to persons accused of participating in the riots. Of these, 40 were considered, all left unchanged,» said Mamaeva.
On the evening of October 29 in Dagestan, local residents broke through on the runway of Makhachkala airport after the arrival of a flight from Tel Aviv. It was reported that those who broke through were presumably looking for arriving Israeli citizens, and riots began. The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that a criminal case had been opened for mass riots. According to the latest data, the police detained 201 people for violations of public order, administrative materials were compiled for 155 of them.
