Collision of a train with a locomotive in Ulyanovsk region occurred due to a “gross violation in the organization of the station’s work,” Russian Railways reported.
The company began an internal audit. The victims will receive insurance compensation, Russian Railways are also ready to cover the costs of treatment.
The regional Ministry of Health informs that the victims do not require hospitalization.
It was previously established that the collision occurred around 14.55 on 962 km of the Kuibyshev Railway.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee announced the organization of a pre-investigation check after a collision between a maneuverable locomotive and a passenger train traveling along the Adler-Perm route. It carried 396 passengers, 94 of whom – children.
