Russian attack aircraft stormed five buildings in the industrial zone
RBK-500 cluster munitions seem to have finally reached Avdeevka. On Tuesday evening, military Telegram channels reported the first use of these ammunition against the enemy. A serviceman with the call sign “Leader”, located in this sector of the front, revealed some details — “natural hysteria” began on the enemy radio. Military expert Yuri Knutov told where exactly in Avdeevka cluster munitions (if they were used) could have been most effective.
Let us recall that the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to use cluster munitions en masse. According to some estimates, about 80% of all ammunition that the enemy has are cluster bombs supplied by NATO countries. Our retaliatory use of cluster munitions in Avdievka was reported late in the evening, November 21, by a number of Telegram channels.
«For the first time in the direction, our Aerospace Forces used RBK-500 cluster aerial bombs. Right this very second the enemy continues to fly in, the density of our fire is prohibitive,— in the capital of the DPR it is so loud that, even realizing that our people are working, people prefer to stay home.” — wrote one of them.
The information was later confirmed by a serviceman with the call sign “Leader”. The fighter is on one of the Avdeevka sections of the front. According to him, the Russian Aerospace Forces launched massive strikes with RBK-500 cluster bombs with the UMPC module on enemy targets on the southern flank.
«On the enemy’s radio, natural hysteria and reports of a large number of killed and wounded continue. Well, Little Russian, suddenly two people can play a game with cassette tapes, do you like it? — the fighter wrote.
Military experts noted that our army began massive artillery preparation using the entire range of MLRS and cannon artillery. It is possible that our troops are preparing for a third massive decisive assault.
However, according to military expert Yuri Knutov, military operations in Ukraine often do not proceed, as they say, according to the classics, and artillery preparation may turn out to be the same as a cleansing operation.
— Artillery preparation, of course, is carried out before the offensive. But let's speak objectively — now many of the classical rules of combat have moved aside. Previously, it was believed that first there should be bombing strikes, artillery barrage, then tanks with infantry, and so on. This is a classic of combat, which does not work in Ukraine now. Therefore, artillery preparation may simply be carried out in order to dismantle some fortifications.
Naturally, this may also indicate that an assault group may then go on the attack and work on certain positions that were dismantled our artillery. This option exists and is quite possible, but it is not necessary.
According to the expert, in this conflict surprise attacks on the enemy are very effective. By the way, according to the Telegram channel maintained by the intelligence officers, on the southern flank, Russian assault units managed to take the enemy by surprise and storm to occupy five buildings in the industrial zone. The enemy forces did not have time to request reinforcements, and our attack aircraft successfully gained a foothold in new positions.
— As a rule, we make sudden attacks. They now produce more results than pre-planned ones. The day before, by the way, we again made very significant progress, because we acted quite suddenly.
The factor of surprise gives the best results — and, of course, the use of FPV drones and “kamikaze” drones. This helps solve many issues on the front line.
According to a military expert, the use of cluster munitions in the Avdiivka waste heap and in the area of the Coke and Chemical Plant may not be very effective.
— But in the field of delivery of weapons, personnel, rotation, supply of the Ukrainian Armed Forces group, with the help of such ammunition many issues can be resolved, greatly disrupting the enemy’s logistics. This will contribute to the encirclement of Ukrainian troops or their withdrawal from Avdiivka.
In confirmation of the expert’s words, the military on Wednesday, November 22, reported that the enemy attempted to evacuate manpower and equipment, “in the process they managed to destroy part of the enemy forces.”
Knutov in a conversation with “MK” I reminded you once again: Russia has a large number of cluster munitions for various purposes, which are significantly superior in capabilities to those available to NATO countries.
— We did not use them for humanitarian reasons. But after NATO supplied cluster munitions to Ukraine, the number of strikes with these shells increased significantly. Therefore, Russia has every reason to use such ammunition. This response measure, in my opinion, can be used without any restrictions.
