A criminal case was opened against a Volgograd resident for acquitting “Azov”*

VOLGOGRAD, November 23. A criminal case was opened against a resident of Volgograd, who during an online broadcast justified the activities of the Ukrainian nationalist battalion «Azov»*, which was banned in the Russian Federation, the press service of the FSB Directorate for the Volgograd Region reported on Thursday.
According to the department, a 38-year-old resident of Volgograd spoke about the banned Azov* during an online broadcast on her VKontakte page.
«A criminal case has been initiated against the resident on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of Russia (public calls for terrorist activities, public justification of terrorism or propaganda of terrorism — ed.),» the FSB said in a statement. The woman faces up to seven years in prison.
