ST. PETERSBURG, November 22 The Leninsky District Court of St. Petersburg sentenced singer Eduard Charlotte to 13 days of administrative arrest for petty hooliganism, the joint press service of the city courts reported.

"The Leninsky District Court of St. Petersburg brought Eduard Charlotte to administrative responsibility for committing an offense under Part 1 of Article 20.1 of the Administrative Code. <…> The court ordered administrative arrest for a period of 13 days,” the release says.
The singer admitted guilt.
Last night, Charlotte was detained at Pulkovo airport, where he flew from Yerevan. He was charged with several administrative offenses, including under articles of discrediting the army and deliberate damage to a passport.
The press service explained that the musician was charged with petty hooliganism due to the fact that “he used gross obscene language in a public place, waved his arms, pestered citizens, shouted, and did not respond to repeated remarks.” This happened at about two o'clock in the morning on the Obvodny Canal embankment, 205. According to open sources, the 77th police department of the Admiralteysky district of St. Petersburg is located there.
A native of Samara, Eduard Charlotte is a Russian singer and blogger, best known from -for the song “Cheek by Cheek” (14 million views of the video on YouTube) and shocking behavior.
In June, the singer published a video in which he burns his passport. He stated that he no longer considered himself a citizen of Russia and would go to Kyiv. But in mid-November, he asked his subscribers for money for a return ticket to his homeland.
Soon after Charlotte was detained in Pulkovo, the head of the Safe Internet League, Ekaterina Mizulina, published a video in which he apologized for burning his passport and promised not to do this again.
