The government lifted the ban on the export of summer diesel fuel

MOSCOW, November 22. The government has lifted the ban on the export of summer diesel fuel from Russia after saturation of the domestic market, the Ministry of Energy reported on the Telegram channel.
» The Russian government has decided to lift the temporary ban on the export of summer diesel fuel,” the statement says.

As the department explained, during the restrictions, the domestic market was saturated with commercial diesel fuel of all grades and motor gasoline, including in the exchange sales channel.
“»As a result <.. .> wholesale prices of summer diesel fuel on the stock exchange have decreased, and its reserves amount to more than 3.2 million tons, which is 14 percent more than at the date of the ban on the export of motor fuel,” the Ministry of Energy added.
They noted that lifting the restrictions is necessary to prevent the unloading of refineries and ensure high levels of production of popular fuels — gasoline and winter grades of diesel fuel.

At the same time, monitoring of production and price indicators will continue in order to take prompt measures, if necessary, to provide fuel to the domestic market, the ministry concluded.
Exchange prices for fuel began to rise in the spring and slightly remained at record levels for months. On September 21, the government introduced a ban on the export of petroleum products. Then on November 17, after prices stabilized, the authorities lifted the ban on the export of gasoline.
In October, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak instructed oil workers to increase the production of winter diesel fuel for the domestic market and for northern delivery.
