A resident of Feodosia was detained and arrested in a case of high treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code) due to suspicions of sending components for Russian military equipment to Ukraine. Interfax and RIA Novosti reported this with reference to the FSB press service.
It is unknown when exactly the man was sent to the pre-trial detention center. According to investigators, he was recruited by representatives of the Ukrainian special services.
“Having been recruited by representatives of the Ukrainian special services and acting in their interests, for a monetary reward he searched for and transported components for Russian-made military aircraft to Ukraine,” according to the FSB.
RIA Novosti published a video of the arrest. In it, several people in civilian clothes are pulling a Crimean citizen out of the driver’s seat of a car. “What’s going on, guys?” asked the detainee during the search. Without answering, the security forces took him to a minivan.
