MOSCOW, November 23. Singer Sergei Penkin became a guest of the YouTube project “Legend” on RTVI and told why he stopped appearing on television screens.
The artist noted that he is not invited to the “lights” and filming of big concerts.
““It happened once, Taisiya Povaliy and I performed, then we were “cut out”. And what was the point of speaking? But they begged like that. So what next?” Penkin recalled.
The performer added that despite this, he still often gives solo concerts. Sergei Penkin said that he is still in demand by the audience, and his audience is getting younger.

“It’s only thanks to the audience that I live on this stage,” the musician admitted.
Sergey Penkin also commented on the possibility of moving abroad, where he is also popular with listeners. According to the celebrity, he is a patriot and is not going to do this.
“»I can live for a week or two (abroad,—Editor's note), and then that's it, I want to go home,» the singer said.
The performer also recalled how in 1991, while on tour in Italy, he refused the Italian or American citizenship offered to him, because he wanted to go home to his parents. “I don’t regret it,” Penkin concluded.
