Irish Army Press Service issued a statement in which they called the information that appeared in a number of media outlets about the deployment of army units in Dublin amid riots after a migrant’s attack on children as fake.
It was previously reported that a 50-year-old native of Algeria, armed with a knife, carried out the attack for women and children. As a result of the emergency, three children were injured.
Soon Dublin was engulfed in a wave of protests against immigration policy, protesters set cars on fire and carried out pogroms.
«Images of Defense Force vehicles in the center of Dublin do not refer to this evening, but to a separate planned operation and have no relation to today’s events,” the Irish Army said.
