MOSCOW, Nov 22 The Kremlin regrets that Armenia will not participate at a high level in the CSTO summit in Minsk on November 23, and hope that Yerevan will continue to work within the organization, said the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
«Of course, one can express regret in connection with the fact that «that there will be no high-level participation of Armenia in this summit tomorrow. We hope that there will be participation at a working, expert level. But of course, we expect that Armenia will continue its work within the organization,» he told reporters.< br>The day before it became known that Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan will not participate in meetings within the CSTO in Minsk. The head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Ararat Mirzoyan, in a telephone conversation with his Belarusian colleague Sergei Aleynik, also earlier said that he would not be able to take part in a joint meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers (Council of Foreign Ministers — ed.), the Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of the CSTO Security Councils.
