
MOSCOW, November 23. SHAMAN, Oleg Gazmanov and Nikolai Rastorguev topped the list of Russian patriotic musicians, according to the results of a survey by VTsIOM.
According to the center, 27% of Russians believe that musicians and performers should publicly demonstrate their political position, 26% believe, on the contrary, that they should not, 43% noted that everything depends on the specific situation, 4% were undecided.
More than half of Russians do not approve of the decision of the musicians, who, as a sign of protest against the actions of the authorities, left Russia with the beginning of the Northern Military District, of which 51% do not approve at all, 12% rather disapprove. 13% expressed approval, 8% approved of their decision in some ways, and 8% disapproved in some ways.
Every second Russian believes that the influence of Western culture on Russian youth should be limited, 41% of respondents answered that it is not necessary, 9% found it difficult to answer. At the same time, young people more often oppose restrictions on themselves (66-60%), and Russians over 35 years of age are inclined to the need to protect (35-44 years old — 52%, 45 years and older — 57-58%).
Russians were also asked which options best fit their ideas about patriotic music: 49% chose the option that these are songs about love for your small homeland, the place where you were born, 40% — songs about nature and culture throughout Russia, 34% — about the achievements of the people, great people of Russia, 32% — about previous wars, war heroes.
Alla Pugacheva topped the list of performers who make Russians feel ashamed. This was the answer given by 25% of respondents. This is followed by Philip Kirkorov (13%), SHAMAN (9%), Olga Buzova (6%), Instasamka (5%), Nikolay Baskov (4%), Oleg Gazmanov (4%). Russians also mentioned in this context Laima Vaikule, Valery Meladze, Danila Milokhin (3% each), Diana Arbenina, Yuri Shevchuk, Bi-2 (2% each).
28% of Russians found it difficult to answer, 2% believe that all performers who left the country cause them a feeling of shame.
The all-Russian Internet survey of VTsIOM «VTsIOM-Online» was conducted on October 17-18 among 1,708 Russians over 18 years old. The survey method is an Internet survey using a stratified random sample based on a probability panel. Data are weighted by socio-demographic parameters. For this sample, the maximum error with a probability of 95% does not exceed 2.5%.
