MOSCOW, November 22 State Duma Deputy Alexey Zhuravlev (chairman of the Rodina party) said that it is necessary to continue reforming the constitution along the path of patriotism, while he noted that it already lays the foundations of Russian statehood.
Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin said on Wednesday that work on the Constitution of the Russian Federation must continue, the state ideology must be spelled out in it.
«The Constitution is not a religious dogma, but a living document that must correspond to modern realities. We began working on it on the recommendations of the president back in 2020, when we made some editorial changes to the text, which already presupposed the foundations of Russian statehood. There is a place for Russian language, and the role of the family as a unit of society. Of course, it is necessary to continue reforming, and certainly introduce articles that would record the further development of the country along the path of patriotism. Russia has eaten up liberal ideology to such an extent that it has become ill, so it has no intention of returning to it no sense,» Zhuravlev said.
