Colonel Matviychuk: “In winter, a number of regions will capitulate”
The situation in Avdiivka seems to be approaching its climax. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are suffering huge losses due to the massive use of cluster bombs and shells by the Russian military. The deplorable state of the Ukrainian troops is evidenced by a video filmed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the trenches during the Russian attack. The largest fortified area of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is increasingly turning into a “Bakhmut meat grinder.” Ukrainian commanders are throwing huge forces into holding positions, but it seems that the “pincers” can be loosened. the enemy will no longer succeed around the city. The Ukrainian Armed Forces in Avdiivka are experiencing a huge shortage of ammunition and heavy weapons.
A new video has appeared on military Telegram channels, filmed by the enemy near Sepov, north of Avdeevka. Soldiers of the enemy army are trying to evacuate the wounded and report their critical situation. It is noteworthy that the video is being filmed by a woman.
Military correspondent Timofey Ermakov in the Telegram channel appreciated the video and stated that the enemy was clearly retreating:

The expert drew attention to the voice-over. The Armed Forces of Ukraine began to throw women into the first line — and obviously not as paramedics, but as fighters of infantry groups.

According to military expert Anatoly Matviychuk, the video indicates panic in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

— Indeed, Ukraine went on the defensive, because it does not have more forces and means. Something needs to be done, but they don’t know what. The West has sharply reduced military assistance; the assistance that is still being received is too small, it is not enough to intensify hostilities. I think that with the onset of cold weather we will observe a decrease in the activation of the APU. And it is even possible that during the winter some areas will capitulate.
