MOSCOW, November 25, Daria Yudkina. The death of three children is being investigated in the Pskov region. Decaying bodies were found in an apartment in Velikiye Luki and in a private house in the village of Mokriki. A 34-year-old mother was detained on suspicion of murder. As it turned out, this is not the first shocking incident in the family.
A terrible find
On November 23, the skeletons of two boys were found in one of the apartments in the city of Velikiye Luki, Pskov region. One is less than a year old, the other is four. The dead were wrapped in blankets. Their mother Daria S. was detained on the spot.
According to media reports, Daria's eldest son secretly came to the apartment and found a child's skeleton covered with a blanket in a diaper. I immediately called my grandmother Elena, with whom I lived. She called the police.
Pensioner Daria never let me in under various pretexts. Now she immediately invited me into the apartment and began to assure that a four-year-old child had died in his sleep back in August.
Arriving Ministry of Internal Affairs officers found another corpse on the second floor of a bunk bed — a baby.
Later, Daria said that in the house in the village of Mokriki there was the body of her daughter — as it turned out later, also wrapped in a blanket. According to preliminary data, the child was eight years old at the time of death.
The suspect, in addition to her eldest son, had a five-year-old daughter who lived in the same ill-fated apartment. The girl was handed over to the guardianship authorities, her father wants to take her.
“Crashed to death”
The Investigative Committee released a video of the search in the apartment. Judging by the footage, it had not been cleaned for a long time, the rooms were littered with bags of garbage.
The townspeople knew about Daria’s strange behavior. The fact is that she actively commented on posts in the “Overheard Velikiye Luki” group.

“If the kids prevented her from communicating with someone, she would lose her temper and yell at them,” says the townswoman.
The children did not go to kindergarten, only occasionally Daria took them to the clinic. “But they always walked on the street clean,” notes one of the neighbors.
According to the Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Pskov Region, Natalia Sokolova, the family was registered for a “short period”, but was removed in 2020.
As the neighbors recall, the strangeness began eight years ago. Then Daria lost her child, the second oldest in the family.
“He was two years old. He was playing with his older brother (the one who discovered the corpse. — Editor’s note). He went out onto the balcony, climbed onto the boxes standing by the window. And fell to his death,” says a resident of the house.
When trouble happened, the grandmother took her eldest son to live with her. And the girl, whose body was found eight years later in the village of Mokriki, remained with Daria, who later became the mother of three more children. Moreover, she gave birth to the latter at home, without informing either relatives, doctors, or the registry office.
Numerous examinations
The Investigative Committee of the Pskov Region opened several cases under the article “Murder”. The information found at the scene, as well as the remains, will be sent for examination. According to media reports, all the children are from different men. Now their identities are being established.
Inc. investigators will also investigate the motives for the crimes. The suspect was ordered to undergo a psychiatric examination.
The regional prosecutor's office,was also involved in the case, which will also check the actions of preventive authorities.
