
SIMFEROPOL, November 23. State Duma deputy from the Crimean region, Mikhail Sheremet proposed creating a working group that would develop the main directions of the new state ideology.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, expressed the opinion that work on the Constitution of the Russian Federation should be continued. He believes that it is necessary to formulate the state ideology and goals of Russian society and enshrine this in the basic law of the country.
«Russia needs a state ideology that unites the worldview and ideals of all the peoples of our multinational country. Ideology will make it possible to build long-term prospects and plans for the development of Russia, to set a clear and straightforward course for many years to come. To develop the main directions of the state ideology it is necessary create a special working group consisting of representatives of various sectors of social, political and economic life,” Sheremet said.
According to him, the basis of the state ideology should be patriotism, love for the Motherland and the desire to create a great and powerful state out of Russia.
According to Article 13 of the current Constitution of the Russian Federation, “ideological diversity is recognized in the Russian Federation” and “no ideology can be established as a state or mandatory ideology.”
