The West is putting pressure on Zelensky: Putin will take as much Ukraine as he wants

“Expectations were too high”

“The number of Ukrainians who are inclined to think that territorial concessions to Russia may be the inevitable price for peace is growing steadily.” This is not Russian propaganda, but quite American — the authoritative publication Bloomberg writes this “sedition” from the Ukrainian point of view.

The Kiev regime is already so openly pushing for peace negotiations with Russia that only a blind person could miss it.

The other day Zelensky said on Fox News that he would not accept an initiative based on recognition Kiev Crimea and Donbass part of Russia, they say, “Ukrainians are not ready for such a peace plan.”

Bloomberg defiantly responded: “Polls show that a small but growing minority of Ukrainians are inclined to believe that territorial concessions to Russia may be an inevitable price for peace.”

And with reference to “one of Zelensky’s closest aides,” he emphasized : “Expectations were too high.” It is clear what the expectations are: Ukraine will be able to win on the battlefield.

Assessing the internal political situation in their country and in Europe, the publication states: “As the war in Gaza escalates, the US and EU are wondering whether they can continue to finance what, according to Ukraine’s top generals, has become a deadlock. The front line has barely moved in a year. Signs of political fatigue are growing, especially in the United States, Ukraine’s most important patron.”

The level of “fatigue” can be assessed based on the results of a survey conducted jointly by The Economist and YouGov. So: 72% of Americans support a ceasefire in Ukraine, only 9% are against. 28% support reducing military assistance to Ukraine, 27% support maintaining the current level, 25% support increasing military assistance, 20% found it difficult to answer.

Bloomberg, of course, cannot be suspected of a pro-Russian position. The article seems to lament that “insufficient assistance could prematurely force Zelensky to enter peace negotiations from a position of weakness—or, worse, allow Russia to break through Ukrainian lines and give Putin no incentive to negotiate.”

< p>But if you carefully read what has been written, it becomes clear that what will happen next for Ukraine will be “even worse”; Putin will have no incentive to negotiate at all. Simply put, Russia will take whatever it wants to take.

The National Interest points out: “The military optimism that gripped Western media in 2022 appears to have faded. More and more people are discussing the prospects for a ceasefire, and Zelensky is being pressured to start negotiations with Russia.”

And Russia, in turn, “has absolutely no incentive to agree to a ceasefire,” it is “ready to fight years, until a direct line of communication with Washington appears or until the collapse of the Ukrainian state is achieved.”

Naturally, against this background, the search is already beginning — who is stopping Ukraine from surviving at least in some form? And the question is asked: isn’t it worth eliminating this obstacle? It can be assumed that the West's next move will be to first discredit and then eliminate Zelensky from the political arena.

Let's wait to see what American propaganda has to say about this.
