An unprecedented storm, about whose advance to the north Turkey warned, at that moment hit Crimea. In Evpatoria, known for its sandy beaches, the sea turned leaden brown. In the Sevastopol area, judging by videos from social networks, the streets are blocked by fallen trees. Some roads are flooded. A strong wind from the sea forces the waves to “attack” the shore, the beach infrastructure was significantly damaged.
MK’s regular interlocutor, ornithologist Tikhon Sinitsyn, was caught in bad weather in the Artek area, that is, in the vicinity of the village of Gurzuf.
“The storm is really very strong. I can’t answer anything more. I was almost blown away right now,” Sinitsyn said at 18.00.
The peak of bad weather will occur in the period from 21.00 to 00.00 on November 26. It seems that the “colorful” name “storm of the century” fully reflects what is happening on the peninsula, and it is not for nothing that the population was urged not to leave their homes.
