
MOSCOW, November 25 Gazprom has set a new record for daily gas supplies via the Power of Siberia to China, the company’s Telegram channel reports.
«
"On November twenty-third, the Chinese side applied for the supply of Russian gas through the Power of Siberia gas pipeline" again exceeded daily contractual obligations. «Gazprom» delivered all the requested volumes and set a new historical record for daily gas supplies to China,” the publication says.
The company clarified that supplies are being carried out under a bilateral long-term agreement with the Chinese CNPC.
This year Gazprom has repeatedly exceeded daily contractual obligations for gas exports to China.
«Power of Siberia» — a main gas pipeline from Russia to China with a length of about three thousand kilometers. The first gas flowed through it from the Chayandinskoye field in Yakutia at the end of 2019. And three years later, pumping began from the Kovyktinskoye field in the Irkutsk region.
Last year, Gazprom supplied 15.4 billion cubic meters to the Power of Siberia, and this year 22 billion are planned. By 2025, the investment project involves increasing the volume to 38 billion cubic meters per year.
The construction of the Power of Siberia — 2 pipeline through Mongolia is also currently being studied. Its capacity will be 50 billion cubic meters per year.
