On the night of November 25, the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down 71 of 75 Shahed-131/136 drones launched in the directions of the Kyiv, Sumy, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Nikolaev and Kirovograd regions. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Air Force Command.
As the command clarified, most of the drones from Primorsko-Akhtarsk and the Kursk region were heading towards Kyiv. “During a massive air attack of UAVs in Kiev, more than six dozen air targets were hit by air defense systems,” added the head of the city military administration, Sergei Popko.
According to the Ministry of Energy, as a result of falling drone debris, 77 residential buildings were left without power supply houses and 120 institutions. The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, said that there was also a fire in a kindergarten, the second floor of a five-story building was damaged — two women were trapped there. Another fire occurred in an open area.
Klitschko clarified: “As a result of the Russian attack on the capital, 5 people were injured, including an 11-year-old child. All of them received medical care on site or in the emergency room without further hospitalization.”
