MOSCOW, November 25 Minister of Trade of Turkey, co-chairman of the Russian-Turkish intergovernmental commission Omer Bolat told reporters about the increase in the use of the ruble and the Turkish lira in bilateral trade.
On Saturday, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, together with Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz and the country's Trade Minister Omer Bolat, met as part of the 18th meeting of the intergovernmental Russian-Turkish Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

Turkish exports to Russia in Turkish lira grew by almost 400 percent, and Turkish imports from Russia in lira grew by almost 150 percent, in rubles — by 260 percent. He noted that last year the trade turnover between Russia and Turkey reached a record 68 billion dollars, this year in monetary terms it could reach 11 billion dollars — exports from Turkey and 46 billion dollars — exports from Russia. In total, about 56 billion dollars, he specified.
