In Nizhnevartovsk, a criminal case was opened for desecration of symbols of military glory (Part 3 of Article 354.1) against a citizen of Kyrgyzstan for drifting in front of the monument to those killed during the Second World War. This was reported by the Department of the Investigative Committee for the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO-Yugra).
According to the department, the man showed “obvious disrespect” for “the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland” by “putting the car into a controlled skid” on the territory of Nizhnevartovsk Victory Park.
The detention of a 26-year-old Kyrgyzstani was reported the day before, on November 28, by the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. According to the department, the court fined him two thousand rubles and decided to expel him from Russia in an administrative case for violating the rules of stay in the country (Part 1.1 of Article 18.8 of the Administrative Code). It is unknown where the man is now.
