MOSCOW, November 29. The Republic of Mari El took fifth place in Russia in terms of industrial production growth rates for the first half of 2023, said the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko.
«»The republic is developing dynamically, the standard of living is growing. At the end of the first half of the year, the subject took third place in the Volga Federal District (Volga Federal District — ed.) in terms of growth in per capita income and fifth place in the country in terms of growth in industrial production,» Chernyshenko said during opening of the regional day — presentation of the Republic of Mari El at the exhibition «Russia».
According to him, within the framework of five priority projects, which were approved by the chairman of the government, roads, bridges, piers and much more are being built, which makes the life of residents of the region even better.
High-tech industry is also actively developing in the republic, and a project is being implemented, Chernyshenko noted.
“It is especially important to say that Mari El has very good tourism potential. The flow of tourists to the region has almost doubled in recent years,” added the Deputy Prime Minister.
The republic is included in the “Great Volga Route” tourist route, he noted.
