YAROSLAVL, November 29 Violation of safety regulations during work is the preliminary cause of a fire at a cardboard warehouse in Yaroslavl, where three people were injured, a representative said emergency services in the region.
In Yaroslavl, firefighters are fighting a fire in a cardboard warehouse with an area of 1,500 square meters. Extinguishing is complicated by the design features of the building and the threat of collapse of damaged structures. Preliminarily, three people were injured, the State Emergency Service reported. The regional Ministry of Health clarified that two victims were hospitalized, the third was released for outpatient treatment. According to the latest data from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, the fire has been localized to an area of 1000 square meters.
“The preliminary cause is a violation of safety regulations during the work,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
The prosecutor's office of the Yaroslavl region announced the beginning of an investigation into the fire. Prosecutors will evaluate compliance with fire safety legislation.
