According to information provided to the agency» Prime» by Associate Professor of the Faculty of Economics of RUDN University Andrey Girinsky, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) will introduce an improved methodology for statistical accounting of pensioners from December 1. This update will allow a more accurate assessment of the burden on pension payments for subsequent indexations in different regions.
As previously announced, from December 1, seniors who reach 80 years of age in November will receive an increased pension. They will have a double fixed payment to their insurance pension, which currently amounts to 7,567.33 rubles.
Also on November 29, expert Maria Solovichenko from the Research Institute of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation reported that in 2024 Russians with long-term work experience will allow them to retire early. Women will be able to retire at the age of 58, and men at the age of 63.
