Motorinvest promised to disclose the cost of an all-wheel drive SUV of the Chinese brand closer to the actual start of sales of the model in the Russian Federation.
The “celestial” concern Dongfeng launched the Mengshi brand in China last year: it produces expensive SUVs with electrified “filling”. At the beginning of this month it became known that luxury SUVs will reach the Russian market, albeit under a different brand – M-Hero. The importer of cars of this brand was Motorinvest, which is a distributor of Dongfeng and also produces Evolute electric cars (these are Dongfengs with a “local” logo); In addition, the company represents the interests of the premium brand Voyah in the Russian Federation.

So far, there is only one model in the Mengshi/M-Hero range – we are talking about a brutal frame all-wheel drive SUV with air suspension. In the home market, the model received the index 917; in Russia it was announced as M-Hero. As the press service of Motorinvest said today, in December official dealers in the Russian Federation will begin accepting orders for the “celestial” luxury SUV. It is known that the model will arrive on the local market only with a hybrid power plant (in China there is also a fully electric version).
The all-wheel drive SUV on the Russian market will be offered with a hybrid installation, which includes three electric motors and an internal combustion engine, which acts as a generator and is necessary to charge the lithium battery. The total system power is 816 hp and the maximum torque is 1050 Nm. The M-Hero takes 6 seconds to accelerate from zero to 60 mph.
The large SUV received rear axle steering technology and an intelligent MATS all-wheel drive system with three differential locks; it can automatically select the optimal driving mode depending on the complexity of the road section, changes in road and weather conditions. The adaptive air suspension can significantly change the ground clearance — in the standard position it is 221 mm, and in Off-Road mode it is 326 mm. The maximum fordable depth is 900 mm.
The capacity of the triple lithium battery is 65 kWh. Purely on electric power without additional charging from the internal combustion engine, the hybrid SUV can travel up to 175 km (when calculated using the WLTP cycle). The total range of the M-Hero is 750 km (calculated using the same cycle). By the way, the battery received ceramic thermal protection, which is designed for operation under sudden temperature changes — from minus 30 to plus 55 degrees.
The model has five Off-Road modes (snow, mud, sand, stones and swamp), an intelligent obstacle detection system when driving on a blurred road surface, a “transparent body” function that allows you to move diagonally, Crab mode Mode, as well as electronically controlled front and rear differential locks.
The M-Hero SUV received a large radiator grille, matrix head optics, and three matte body color options — black, gray and dark green. The interior is trimmed with Nappa leather, and rare wood veneer is used in the design. The model has functions of heating, ventilation and massage of the front and rear seats; The driver's seat is electrically adjustable in 16 different directions, the front passenger's seat is electrically adjustable in 14 directions, the rear sofa is transformable in eight directions.

The front panel has three displays — a virtual instrument panel (12.3 inches diagonal), a central touchscreen for the infotainment system (15.6 inches), and a touch screen for the front passenger ( 12.3 inches). A separate 8-inch display is provided for second-row passengers. The M-Hero was equipped with a 16-speaker sound system, as well as a device for wireless charging of smartphones.
The luxury SUV received eight airbags (including side, rear and curtain type), anti-lock brakes with function distribution of braking forces, an electronic system of exchange rate stabilization, a built-in video recorder, all-round cameras, monitoring of blind spots and the driver's condition, a traffic sign recognition system, adaptive cruise control and a set of various driver assistants.
