At the Kuzminsky military training ground in the Rostov region, due to the explosion of a shell that fell into a fire, 12 Marines were killed and four more people were injured. This was reported by 161.RU with links to sources in the army, the investigation and among the security forces.
The journalists' interlocutors clarified that the incident occurred on November 3. According to them, a crew of 20 people lit a fire that day during their lunch break. There were ammunition blocks not far from the fire.
“An RPG-7 grenade launcher shell rolled into the fire and exploded. Eight people died on the spot and eight more were injured. All those injured and killed were contract soldiers from Vladivostok,” the source said. Later, four more victims died.
In October last year, it became known about the death of two conscripts — they were run over by a contract soldier in a KamAZ truck while in a military unit in the Arkhangelsk region. As the media and telegram channels specified, 22-year-old serviceman Israpil Abkherdilaev ran into a convoy of 20 people.
