BEIJING, Dec. 1It is more profitable to produce Chinese cars in Russia than simply export them from China, so it is necessary to stimulate investment in this area, says Boris Titov, Chairman of the Russian part of the Russian-Chinese Committee of Friendship, Peace and Development, and the Russian Presidential Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs' Rights.
“Within the Committee, we supported the creation of an association of Chinese automobile manufacturers. Today, our task, together with this association, is to stimulate investment by Chinese automobile companies in the production of cars in Russia. Because today it is much more profitable than simply exporting cars from China to Russia,” Titov said at a press conference organized by the representative office of the Rossiya Segodnya media group in Beijing.
According to him, Russia has become a very large market for China, therefore, for this cooperation to be effective, production is profitable, Cars need to be produced in Russia.
Titov, at the head of the Russian delegation, is on a business visit to Beijing from November 29 to December 1, where the next plenary meeting of the Committee was held on November 30 with the participation of the Chinese side.
